Callers Visit San Juan Squares

June 22, 2013 New Jersey callers Paul Ingis and his son Steve visited Puerto Rico.  They contacted us so we immediately coordinated a special event on the day they would be available, which was a Saturday.  They sang and called for us, we had a potluck dinner, and we danced to our heart's content.  We thank them for their generosity in calling for us.  Dancers who participated in this activity are still talking about it.

Square Dancers Visit San Juan Squares

This year we have been so fortunate to meet other square dancers who have been to visit our club and to dance with us.

February 17, 2013 a square dance cruise, organized in Texas, sailed from San Juan.  Caller Nasser Shukayr contacted us to coordinate their visit and dancing with us.  We had the opportunity to meet new friends and to dance with them prior to their sailing.  See related entry in our blog.

  One week later, a couple from Sweden, who were part of the cruise, came to visit our club on our regular dance night on Monday. On March 11, 2013, a lady from Germany visited our club and danced with us, during her vacation in Puerto Rico. 

We are always happy to meet other square dancers, so please feel free to write or call to announce your visit so that we can make plans to dance with you.  

Graduation March 11, 2013

On March 11, 2013 we had a graduation ceremony for our basic students.  We are very happy to share this happy occasion with them and to welcome them to our club.

Puerto Rico Convention Center Event

On February 17, 2013 we were fortunate to receive the visit of fellow square dancers from the USA, Canada and Europe.

 This happy group of dancersdanced to two great callers:  Mr. Hunter Keller, Montana, and Mr. Nasser Shukayr, Texas.

We all had a great time!   Congratulations to Nasser for suggesting we meet to dance in San Juan.  We are grateful for the opportunity of meeting a great number of square dancers prior to their embarking on their cruise out of San Juan and for dancing to these callers.

We do hope you will be able to visit again!
