Visitors

On Monday, September 6, 2010 we were happy to receive the visit of fellow square dancers from Germany. They had come to visit Puerto Rico for two weeks, and contacted us for a visit. We enjoyed their visit very much, and we all danced together and had a great time. Here are some photos.

September 2010

Many things have happened since we last published news on this page. We reorganized our club and elected a Board of Directors in April. Our club has 46 active members, who participate in weekly classes and in exhibitions. You can see some of our classes and exhibitions in http://www.youtube.com/ .

We had a graduation in June 2010. Here is a picture of our graduates,

We have done some exhibitions:

• The day after graduation we held an exhibition at the retirement home La Providencia in Old San Juan.
• We danced at the Miramar Convention Center on July 3rd, 2010 during the Cattleman's BBQ Contest.
• On July 26, 2010 we visited the children's summer camp held by Iglesia Metodista of Rio Piedras Heights where we danced and taught the children and teachers to square dance and to line dance.
• We danced for the group Renacer Dorado at the Bayamon Municipal Library on August 3rd, 2010
• We also performed at the Central High School Reunion, Class of 1954, on August 14, 2010.

We have been very active and expect to continue dancing through the year. We continue with our classes every Monday, so feel welcome to come and visit us anytime.

Febrero 2010

En febrero continuamos nuestras clases, ofreciendo el curso básico de 6:00 a 7:00 PM. Este primer video es del "line dance" Black Velvet.

El grupo de "Mainstream" practica de 7:00 a 8:00 PM. Pueden ver varios videos de una práctica.

Back To School

On January 11, 2010 we started a new session of Basic classes for newcomers, and a session of Mainstream classes for students who already graduated from Basic. We are very happy to welcome our new students into our group, and to meet again with our fellow square dancers!
