Christmas Activity
San Juan Squares celebrated an activity to celebrate the Holidays on Monday, December 11, 2017 at La Nueva Sevilla, Guaynabo.  It was good to meet with our friends and enjoy good food and good dancing.  Here are some photos of this activity.

San Juan Squares had to cancel the basic level course for semester ending December 2017.  Hurricane María hit Puerto Rico on September 20, 2017.  The lack of electricity has prevented us from offering our basic classes.  We'll let you know once we are able to offer them again. 

Nuevo curso - 14 de agosto de 2017

Saludos!  Nos complace anunciar el inicio de un nuevo curso de baile.  Comenzamos el lunes 14 de agosto de 2017 en el Centro Comunal de la urbanización Río Piedras Heights.  Las clases se ofrecen libre de costo todos los lunes de 5:00 - 6:00 pm.
Anímate y participa!  Conocerás nuevos amigos mientras ejercitas tu mente y tu cuerpo.

We are happy to announce the start of new beginner square dance classes.  We start Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Río Piedras Heights Community Center.  These classes are free of charge.  We meet every Monday from 5:00 - 6:00 pm.
Join us for an hour of fun and exercise!  In addition to exercising your mind and body you'll also meet new friends.

San Juan Squares has been very busy in 2016.  We had two graduations, and in October had caller Bill Harrison visit us.  He conducted weekend workshops for our club members.  Here are some pictures of these events.

Graduation - August 31, 2015

Monday August 31, 2015 San Juan Squares graduated a new group of square dancers.  Congratulations! Welcome to the wonderful world of square dancing!

Caribbean Cruisers Visit San Juan Squares

The morning of January 8, 2015 the Independence of the Seas stopped in San Juan for a few hours.  Aboard were over 150 square dancers from different parts of the USA and Canada, most of whom danced with us that morning.

Callers Bill Harrison and Tom Miller directed and entertained the dancers.  We danced in the lobby of the Puerto Rico Convention Center.  We made new friends and we had fun!

Mainstream Workshops - November 2014

November 2014 we were visited by caller Eric Henerlau, his wife and a group of very enthusiastic and dedicated square dancers from California.    Callers classes and workshops were held on Friday evening and Saturday morning, and dancer workshops were held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.  Monday evening we met again for our regular dance and practiced and danced some more.

Special thanks to Willie and James, our special angels, who helped coordinate this event for us, resulting in a very successful and fun weekend!
